People in all their capacity, occupation, emotional status, leisure time, on the street or posed. Suriname, a country bordering the north of the Atlantic Ocean, to the west of Guyana, to the east of French Guiana and to the south of Brazil. The capital is Paramaribo. It is about 4x bigger than the Netherlands. Suriname has a multi-racial population with a variety of cultural expressions. The population is approximately 490,000, of which approximately 260,000 inhabitants are in the Paramaribo district. The original inhabitants are the Indians, also known as Native Americans. Ethnic diversity originated in colonial times, in which the African-Surinamese were introduced as slaves from Africa; The Hindus, Javanese and Chinese as contractors, while Lebanese, Jews and Europeans settled in the colony. Because of the integration between the different ethnic groups, there are also many colorings, the so-called 'melting pot'. Countless exotic plants and animals occur in the largely uninhabited and untouched rainforest. Suriname has 13 nature reserves and 1 nature park. The country is rich in a variety of wild plants and animals, including 674 species of birds, 200 species of mammals, 130 species of reptiles, 99 kinds of amphibians and thousands of botanical plants, the vast majority of which have never been investigated.
