Urban Wildlife - Between concrete and message on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by WeltReisender Magazin

In her impressive Urban Wildlife series, artist Stefanie Gendera combines two worlds that at first glance hardly seem to fit together: the wildness of nature and urban space. But it is precisely in this tension that the power of her works lies. Animals appear between graffiti walls, walls and symbols - a hamster with a spray can, a snow leopard with an icy gaze, wolves wandering through nocturnal street canyons. They do not seem out of place, but rather like silent witnesses to a world that has lost its balance. Gendera's style is bold, rich in contrast and full of double meanings. Her animals are not just beautiful to look at - they challenge us to take a stand: For peace. For biodiversity. For the right to coexistence. Sometimes tongue-in-cheek, sometimes alarmingly direct, her works become urban memorials with an animal message. This series is not only art for the eye, but also for the conscience. It poses uncomfortable questions, packaged in powerful images - and invites us to take a closer look: What disappears when we don't pay attention? And what can we do to preserve wilderness and diversity, not just in museums and on canvases?
