Even in het kort iets over mezelf. Ik ben geboren in de provincie Groningen en hoewel ik een paar uitstapjes heb gemaakt naar o.a. het buitenland, woon ik hier nog steeds. Er gaat niets boven Groningen!
Sinds ik mij kan herinneren heb ik al iets met fotografie. Dit begon meer vorm te krijgen toen ik op mijn 17e van mijn oma mijn eerste analoge spiegelreflexcamera, de Minolta X-300, kreeg. Alles wat los en vast zat werd gefotografeerd; erg kost

Sinds ik mij kan herinneren heb ik al iets met fotografie. Dit begon meer vorm te krijgen toen ik op mijn 17e van mijn oma mijn eerste analoge spiegelreflexcamera, de Minolta X-300, kreeg. Alles wat los en vast zat werd gefotografeerd; erg kostbaar in het tijdperk van de fotorolletjes. Met pijn in mijn hart moest ik in 2001 deze camera vervangen door de Minolta 505 SI super. Het digitale tijdperk was al wel aangebroken maar voor mij betekende goed fotograferen indertijd nog dat je de camera in één keer goed moest instellen om geen nabewerkingen te hoeven doen. Uiteindelijk voor de reis van de west naar de oostkust van de Verenigde Staten toch een digitale spiegelreflex aangeschaft en ik was om!
Ik ben geen professioneel fotograaf en die ambitie heb ik ook niet. Fotografie is mijn passie… ik word er blij van.
Er schijnen allerlei regels te zijn waaraan een foto moet voldoen om een ‘goede’ foto te zijn. Wanneer ik word geraakt door een beeld, beschouw ik dit als een ‘goede’ foto. Wat ik mooi vind, hoeft een ander niet mooi te vinden en omgekeerd.

What are the delivery times?
At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.
How will the package be sent?
We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.
Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.
A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.
Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.
Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
