About Anne Seltmann

My name is Anne Seltmann and I am a self-taught photographer based in Kiel, northern Germany. I don't have a specific focus, but I am interested in capturing the beauty of everyday life and things that most people would pass by without noticing. I am also fascinated by black-and-white photography with its strong contrasts, and I love editing images with beautiful textures. I have also recently started working with AI to create fantastic works. Here, too, I am not confined to any particular theme. For me, photography – whether classic or digitally enhanced – is one thing above all else: a creative process that leaves room for discovery.

My path to photography was not a straightforward one. There was no fixed plan, no classical training, no predetermined career path. Instead, there was always this quiet but constant fascination with light, shadow and moods. I learned by trying things out. By making mistakes. By remaining curious. For me, working as a self-taught photographer means freedom, but also discipline.

I taught myself the technical aspects, studied image composition, experimented with perspectives and spent countless hours capturing motifs at just the right moment.

Kiel and the north subtly influence my work. The changing light, the vastness of the sky, the interplay between the sea and the city all flow into my visual language.

But I don't just photograph landscapes.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
