About Art by Hercules

Hercules was always inspired by fashion and beauty photography from luxury brands and magazines. After rejecting art school, she completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in Communication Studies and worked in marketing. In 2020, during the pandemic and pregnancy, she left her 9-to-5 job to focus on her family and art.

From her university days, she started illustrating female portraits and accessories digitally, and later chose oil paint as her main medium.

Hercules, fascinated by female beauty, employs a fast and spontaneous painting style. Her paintings, revealing the physical process of painting, can be found in private collections worldwide. An emerging artist, she is represented on online galleries and exhibits in her Amsterdam art studio by appointment.

"I paint quickly and spontaneously for an abstract look up close, but want the painting to be recognisable and realistic from a distance. The physical aspects of the painting process should become clear when viewed up close. I do not aim for a photo-like painting; the drips, splashes and paint texture give the work an interesting extra dimension in real life."

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
