Cornel Krämer - the man behind the lens
The first 30 years of my photographic career were limited to landscapes, animals and still lifes. I learnt to see photographically. I was always on the lookout for something visually special, for unusual objects and perspectives. However, one photographic object had not yet opened up to me at that time: People! Apart from the fact that my little brother, when he wasn't really able to walk and therefore couldn't run away, served as a model for me on a trial basis, the shots of human beings were limited to them being used as staffage for a beautiful landscape. It wasn't until the turn of the millennium that I had the idea of focussing more intensively on people in my photography. And people photography became my passion.
