My first camera was a bellows camera that I got as a present from my father when I was 12 years old because he had bought an SLR camera. Later, when I started painting, I realised that I chose almost the same motifs when painting as I did with my first camera. Landscape, perspective, infinity in the motifs, the size of nature even in small things (flowers) and much more, I started painting in the early 90s. My first holidays in Greece (Coasts of Light) from around 1994 were something of an initial spark. During my second holiday in Greece I started painting on location. I created many watercolour paintings, chalk drawings and acrylic paintings. I painted until around 1998/1999, after which I lived in Greece for a year before moving to Hamburg. I haven't really started painting again yet, apart from a few small drawings. In autumn 2012 I had my first exhibition here in Hamburg at Cafe-Eigenart. Last year I started again with a chalk drawing while on holiday. This spring I attended a few watercolour courses at the VHS and finished a few motifs. I am currently in the process of giving my creativity more space again.
