I believe this deep down at my core. My name is Emily, and I make art that touches - soft, feminine and lived-in. Every canvas I paint is an ode to femininity in all its layers: powerful yet tender, bright yet mysterious.
I am self-taught. As a single mother of three, I first found an outlet in art, and later my voice. In between the chaos of everyday life, I found room for colour. Acrylic paint became my language and emotion my compass. This is how my style grew: expressive, intuitive, with a warm, organic touch.
My inspiration comes from life itself - from encounters, from silence, from music or a poetic phrase that lingers. My studio is often a place full of children's voices and brushstrokes, full of imperfection and authenticity. This is exactly what I impart to my work: a sense of recognition and connection.
