Eric Bruvier is an Austrian artist with French roots on his father's side. He was born on 4 September 1981 in the picturesque town of Kitzbühel and lives there again after spending a few years abroad. He mainly devotes himself to photography, preferring to shoot his pictures in nature, but he also takes indoor pictures in his own studio in the heart of Kitzbühel. He mostly uses his own photographs and applies them to his art in the so-called "double exposure" process. For this, the artist combines two different photographs and places them optically on top of each other, so that a single image results. He prefers to create these compositions in black and white and gives the works his own signature by painting them in colour with acrylic paint. As a born-and-bred Tyrolean nature boy, Eric Bruvier likes to combine nature shots with portraits.
