My profession is visual artist (freelance) and creative teacher at the Dit Is Wijs group.
Most of my paintings are sold and spread all over the world (>700).
There are drawings and paintings in countries where I have never been and it is a nice thought that there is a work of mine.
I have been drawing and painting, freely and on commission, since the age of 15 as a semi-professional artist.
Sometimes I abstract a subject, then from that subject, or from the theme in which I work, come abstract paintings, often with geometric shapes, because I love those.
The material I work with is a palette of primary colours: red, yellow, blue and black and white. I mix all colours myself and often the grey or black that you see in the painting is also mixed with the main colour of the painting.
I have been practicing macro photography for years and this is also often reflected in my style of painting, with an emphasis on geometry, symmetry and minimalism in line or in color.
