About Humphrey Isselt
Humphrey Isselt born in 1965 in Paramaribo Suriname. At the age of seven years I migrated to the Netherlands. My passion for drawing and painting started at a young age, while observing nature and people in general. Growing up I loved painting and drawing. I took art lessons at the Augustine College in Groningen, where I learned the basis of J. Poeder. I discovered that the liveliness of the colors and paintings that Vincent van Gogh made impressed me. The sculptures of Auguste Rodin have also had an impact. As an observer of life and having a profound understanding of processes and structures, I coach people. At the age of twenty-two my attention shifted to computers and mobile communication. These were a starting point for my work career. No matter how interesting the IT and mobile communication technology is, it cannot be compared to creating art. So at the age of forty I found my passion in painting, drawing and sketching.

In 2010 I stopped with the job as an organizational advisor to shift my focus becoming a full time individual coach, author and artist. I have written published self-developing and art books: books.humphrey-isselt.nl. My art is available on canvas, aluminum, fine-art paper and plexiglass.
I like to discover various techniques and use different materials to achieve the desired effect. I enjoy working with acrylic, oil, water
