I deal with constructive graphics.
I am probably one of many unknown pioneers of computer graphics. Graphics with a "ph", I insist.
Already at school my student work was constructive. The work afterwards was mainly with ink, ruler and compass. Only for a short time I had also constructed with colour. Later only with ink, in black and white.
Since my first programming course in summer 1975 - shortly after I started my physics studies - I had programmed my first works. Back then, punch cards. The output medium was typeface graphics on endless paper webs.
In the course of time I had to create my work in various programming languages. At the beginning in Fortran, later in Postscript, Pascal and finally in PHP.
Programming was done at various computer centers (secretly on course numbers), e.g. University Computer Center Heidelberg, Mannheim, Mainz. For a few years I had a paid account in Heidelberg. For some years now I have had this computing capacity under my personal desk.
My current work is only available as program code, or as PDF or PNG graphics. From the early days there are plotter works (ink and grid plotter).
With Digital Printers there is now the possibility to print my work on various media. These can therefore be purchased by the public.
