My name is Han Overgaauw, born and raised in Rotterdam and living in Leerdam for about 17 years.
I come from the Rotterdam theatre world and I have worked in the lighting and sound field at Theater Lantaren/Venster and Theater Zuidplein.
Especially working with lighting appealed to me a lot. Creating beautiful things, creating images I love!
That is also what I like about photography, where I was already busy with at an early age... An own darkroom, everything in black and white, a while at the Dutch Fotovakschool, I found it wonderful to do!
Unfortunately, due to lack of time, photography had completely disappeared into the background, and only came my way again a few years ago.
After spending about one and a half years doing that, I found that the photos became a bit boring. I wanted more, and to work outside the box, and started to apply myself to editing my photos.
My adaptations touch upon reality, but almost always have a surrealistic touch to them.
This is what I really like, what I was looking for, what I am!
