Julie Herck (born 2003, Genk)
I am a Belgian visual artist, having graduated in Fine Arts Photography from LUCA School of Arts C-mine. Through digital and analogue photography and video, I explore what shapes people and worlds.
My work moves between the intimate and the grandiose. Sometimes it is a portrait, a memory, a trace of who someone is. Sometimes it is the raw power of a coastline, the weight of stone, the light falling on a place where time seems to stand still. In both, I seek the same thing: character, depth and the silent stories that only become visible when you look closely.
My practice is a constant quest, guided by feeling, intuition and a strong belief in my own vision.
