Photography has really become my passion in recent years and cannot be ignored in my daily life. I think because it allows me to translate my experiences, emotion and my view of the world into images. It has become a way to express myself.
Every image tells something about myself, how I see the people and things around me, experience them or would like to see them.
I want to see something "real" in my pictures, not too made or posed. I am always looking for something pure. To that what makes someone unique! That can be a look or a pose for a portrait, but for a car I use the same principle. What lines are characteristic for a car? Or what small details make a beautiful classic car so unique?
I think the best part of being an automotive photographer is the contact with people. When I see how much love and enthusiasm a car or motorcycle has been restored, and how people can talk about it endlessly and with passion, that's what I love about it! Passion, in my experience, is what it's all about.
I am also an enthusiastic landscape photographer.......I can spend hours on the road with my camera, looking for beautiful compositions.....
Combining those three, landscape photography and portrait or automotive photography, is of course absolutely wonderful. A beautiful classic car in an old shed or in a beautiful nature reserve at sunset makes me very happy! Those are the best assignments I could wish for....
