About Marleen Ennenga
My name is Marleen Ennenga. As a designer, I have worked with various materials. Two years after taking a CVP course with Nicolas Wilton, I developed a passion for paint. His starting point is play. The idea of learning to play again, painting from memory, really appealed to me. I took the course for two years and then went my own way. I often think in terms of landscapes, water and the sea – this is my starting point. I experiment, but I also have clear preferences, such as the abundance of blue and the sense of movement in my paintings. I paint abstractly, sometimes with a touch of realism, though not everyone recognises a sail when I find it utterly obvious. All in all, I really enjoy it and I hope you can see that.
