Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Secret Pond (abstract with acrylic)’ by Marleen Ennenga

Materials: Board 12/12 inch (30.4/30.4 cm) Acrylic paint: Blues, pearlescent yellow, burnt sienna and various others Plaster

My way of working begins with play. Simply drawing a few lines and applying colour without it having to become anything in particular. This brings energy and gives me space. This is the way I prefer to work.

The work consists of various layers that are visible here and there, only to be partially painted over again afterwards. At one point, I started experimenting with plaster. I applied it in quick strokes; the idea was to create the effect of swaying grass. As I wasn’t getting anywhere with it, I set it aside.

When I returned to it after a while, I turned it over and saw a completely different image emerge; I saw rolling mountain slopes. This brought a new perspective that I could build on. The dark, sharp points contrast with the soft lines and colours.

Every now and then, I’d follow a realistic image – such as grass and slopes – and use it as a stepping stone, only to let it go again. Looking at it calms me down. What’s happening in that secret pond? I hope you like it. Thanks for taking a look.
