About Pia Schneider

I love the sea with all its moods, the quiet gazes of our cats, the blossoming of nature and the quiet poetry of forgotten places. This is what inspires my artwork – whether painted, drawn, photographed, as a collage or a print. Sometimes abstract and powerful, sometimes delicate and botanical, sometimes playful and fantastical, just like our tomcat NOCSI.
Many of my works tell a personal story, such as my ‘Heavenly Birds’ project, which came about during a time of farewell. My design philosophy often finds its way into my work too. I’m also passionate about architectural photography.

Since 1999, I’ve dedicated my life to creative work: textile design in Düsseldorf, studying at the European Academy of Fine Arts in Trier, founding the COLOUR-VISION studio in 2000, and graduating as a media designer in Dortmund in 2005. Since then, I’ve also been running my own advertising agency.
Exhibitions: 2006–2008 Alte Ökonomie Klüsserath; 2009 group exhibition at Kulturevents Eifel/Mosel; 2016 special exhibition in Dierscheid and ‘Kunst an Hecken und Zäunen’ in Wittlich. Since then, I have mainly been exhibiting my work online.
My works are created in the Southern Eifel near Trier, amongst meadows and woodland. Animal welfare and nature conservation are close to my heart. I would be delighted if one of my paintings were to find a home with you.
