BIRDS - HEAVENLY on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by Pia Schneider
This series is one of my strongest concepts – born from a time when, within a short span, I had to say goodbye more than once, including to beloved animals. Grief became the wish to capture something of longing, freedom and peace.
The story behind it: I created surreal, abstract, almost glowing cloud textures in soft white, blue and yellow – a heavenly backdrop suspended between dream and reality. Onto it settles an antique bird print from a natural history copper engraving dating to around 1860 (public domain, from the archive of The Graphics Fairy), perched on a branch – embedded by me into my own artistic style.
Entirely handmade, without any AI.
