About Richard Guijt Photography
I am a wildlife and landscape photographer, based in Oegstgeest, The Netherlands.
I like to share the beauty of nature, as I see it, with the world through my images. Whilst making my images I try to think of ways to capture my subject in a way that complements my style, this could be by using the latest technology and gadgets.
I bought my first camera for my honeymoon trip to South Africa in 2010. this was my introduction to the African Wildlife and the landscapes these animals live in.
When back home, the photos I took didnt do justice to the memories I had from the beautiful animals and landscapes. That's when I started to invest a lot of time in self-studying about photography and wildlife.
Since my visit to South Africa I have been affected by the Africa- / photography "virus". My travels have taken me to multilple countries on the African continent, with a handful of trips to Asia, my travels are all about photography and wildlife. Besides photographing exotic wildlife on remote locations, I like to spend time in nature in close proximity to my home town.
Through my photos I would like to share the beauty of natre, in the way I see it, with the world. My photos are also used for wildlife conservation projects.
