Sander Goldbach, 43 years old, married and father of 2 daughters.
About 10 years ago, we moved to beautiful Vianen.
The floodplains feel like our backyard and the city centre like our front yard.
For over 2 decades, I have been involved in photography. The journey started with one of the first digital cameras and I have been hooked on it ever since. I skipped the analogue era. It is precisely all the (extra) possibilities that digital photography offers that I find very interesting. Whereas you used to dive into the DOKA (or so I've heard) to see how the photos turned out, I now dive into my computer to see what the (im)possibilities are.
I can't say what I like best about photography because I can't choose between all the beautiful aspects. The experience of going out at night, when every 'normal' person is long since at one ear, is very soothing. Everything looks more together in the dark, you hardly hear any traffic, see no one on the street, you don't hear dogs barking and I could go on and on. What could be better than standing in the middle of the meadow at 1am, seeing a comet at 100 million kilometres while it feels like you are in your own backyard. For me, it's a kind of meditation.
