About the artwork

On the night of 10 May 2024, I experienced the beauty of the Northern Lights, near the forests of Austerlitz, as it graced the skies of the Netherlands in a rare and mesmerising spectacle. Following an exceptionally rare event, a powerful G5-level solar flare engulfed Earth on the night of Friday to Saturday, an event of extreme magnitude not observed since 2003, according to NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). G5 is the strongest level of geomagnetic storm, on a scale of G1 to G5. "Widespread voltage regulation problems and security system issues may occur," NOAA warns. The impact was profound, with the Northern Lights making a stunning appearance in many regions of the Netherlands, even down to the southernmost province of Limburg. I was treated to the breathtaking spectacle of auroras dancing across the night sky, visible to the naked eye, a rare sight in this part of the world.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
