I am Shirley and specialise in family, children and horse photography and I am a true outdoor photographer!
I love the colours of nature and the elements each season has to offer. I can therefore regularly be found outside looking for new locations or at familiar locations checking where and at what time of day the light is best to catch.
My style is characterised by warm post-processing and the way I know how to use daylight in my photos. I love a sunny day, I think it gives the photo so much extra dimension, but even on a cloudy day I can certainly use the softer daylight.
The photos I have selected for 'Work on the wall' are all favourites of mine. The challenge for me is to capture the horse/animal at his/her most advantageous, capturing the animal's character as well as possible.
So I often get the response back from horse owners that I 'managed to capture him/her so well' and 'oooh yes, that is my full-length horse!'. These are real compliments for me, that's what I do it for!
