I have been photographing since the age of twelve. After a few years I made the switch from snapshots to photography as a medium for visual storytelling. First analogue of course, in colour but also in black and white, with the darkroom as my domain.
The pure beauty of nature used to be my inspiration. But over the years I have learned that there is a certain beauty in almost everything. The subjects that form the basis of my images are often very ordinary or even ugly, but they always trigger my imagination. That's what I call visual recycling.
