Welcome to my shop. My name is Tessa and I work as a science journalist and photographer at "Tessa Louwerens Tekst en Beeld." I have a great passion for writing and photography. In addition, I travel a lot and I have visited several countries and continents. My shop includes pictures of the beautiful scenery, landscapes and cities / skylines of Australia (Outback, East Coast, West Coast, Northern Territory, Sydney), Africa, New Zealand, Asia (Thailand and Indonesia), Central America (Costa Rica) and Europe (Barcelona, ??Norway and of course our own Netherlands).I like to travel at a leisurely pace and prefer to explore the country on foot (hiking) with my backpack and tent. I often stay for months in the same place. This way I get a good feel for the country and I get to places that most tourists wouldn't see. I have made many treks through some beautiful nature and National Parks such as the Blue Mountains, Tongariro, Milford Sound, Coramandel, West MacDonnell Ranges (Larapinta Trail), Katherine Gorge, Hinchenbrook Island, Corcovado and the list grows. A picture is worth a thousand words. It sounds cliché, but sometimes a picture can express something that is difficult to summarize in text. Photography is a perfect addition to my journalistic work.
