About Wouter van der Weerd

That one moment in time, captured in a photo. What would have been only another memory now has the ability to be shared with others. I don't know whether you are familiar with the movie Into the Wild but if you do you will probably remember that very compelling phrase which ended the movie.

"Happiness is only real when shared".

I guess that is why we share our stories, our memories, our moments with others. Some write them down in books, others paint them on canvas or make songs out of them. My way of sharing them with others is through photography. Photography has gotten hold of me and I expected to have left it behind by now but I never did. So for as long as it lasts I hope you will enjoy my stories, my memories, my moments, my photos.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.

Great picture and very good service.

Great result, excellent finish! We now have two 'Art Heroes' hanging and are very pleased with the result. Although they are fairly large objects, they do not deviate from the images (and what we expect in terms of quality).
