Ferrari 512 BB from 1979
Bought in 1979 by René Herzog, professional racing driver and collector at the time. Original and very rare Conolly beige leather interior with Daytona. 5-liter, V12 boxer moto. The most sought after carburettor version of which only 929 have been produced.
Herzog drove professionally in the Touring Car Championship in the 60s - 80s. Among other things, the World Sports Car Championship with various Ferrari's 512 BB M and later on international classic car races with the Ferrari GTO, Ferrari SWB and Shelby Mustang. In 1971 Herzog took part in the sports car championship together with Herbert Müller in a Ferrari 512 M. In 1979 he bought this Ferrari 512BB, the street version of the 512 M, to drive to the races. The Ferrari was modified at the time, including a special set of wider wheels, wider body and a sports exhaust.
Photographed at Carrosso Oldemarkt.
