About ‘A Bolognese in Bologna’ by Erika Kaisersot

This nostalgic travel poster takes you to Bologna and depicts a charming Bolognese man in the heart of the historic old town. The characteristic arcades, warm terracotta colours, medieval towers, bicycles and flower-adorned streets convey the special atmosphere of this traditional Italian city.

In the foreground is a plate of tagliatelle al ragù, one of Bologna’s best-known specialities. This traditional pasta links the journey through the city with its famous cuisine and serves as a reminder of why Bologna is also nicknamed ‘La Grassa’. Architecture, cuisine and the Italian way of life thus come together to create a shared travel experience.

The little white Bolognese dog provides a lovely contrast to the warm colours of the historic buildings. As an Italian dog breed, it fits particularly harmoniously into this setting and becomes a charming companion through the streets of Bologna.
