About ‘A Highlands Loneliness’ by Ben De Winter

In the Scottish Highlands, amid the majestic Glencoe Valley, a lone white cottage nestles on the edge of a babbling river. The landscape exudes a melancholic splendour, steeped in mysticism and a sense of timelessness. The river, with its sparkling, clear waters flowing past smoothly polished stones, almost seems to sing a melody that enhances the stillness of the surroundings.

The trees behind the house, deep green and densely packed, offer a protective embrace against the vast, misty hills rising in the distance. The mist hangs low, a soft veil that envelops the tops of the hills in a mysterious atmosphere, as if whispering hidden stories that only the wind knows. The contrast between the vivid details of the river and the muted colours of the autumn landscape makes the scene almost picturesque.

The cottage itself, small but striking in its simplicity, exudes a sense of security and isolation. It is a refuge amidst a rugged, untamed landscape, where nature prevails. This image captures the essence of the Scottish Highlands: rugged beauty, solitude, and an irresistible invitation to get lost in its mystery.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
