The Javanese black-capped jungletimalia (Pellorneum capistratum) is a songbird in the family Pellorneidae. The bird is 16 to 17 cm long. It is a mostly brown-coloured jungle jungletimalia closely related to the borneo blackcap jungletimalia and the Malayan blackcap jungletimalia. The hallmark of the Javanese species is that the light brow stripe is partly light brown and white.
