About ‘A Light in the Storm’ by Wim Priem

A rainbow appears above the immense depths of the Grand Canyon as the last wisps of rain recede and sunlight breaks through the clouds once more. It is such a'n fleeting moment in nature where contrasts come together: sun and rain, light and shadow, tranquillity and turbulence.

The rainbow forms a subtle link between the sky and the landscape, drawing the eye into the image. Behind it unfolds the impressive panorama of the canyon, with its endless rock strata, deep gorges and vast horizon. The dark clouds lend the landscape added drama, whilst the breaking sun provides colour and warmth.

What makes this photograph special is the transience of the moment. Rainbows often appear unexpectedly and vanish just as quickly. Combined with one of the most impressive landscapes in the world, the result is an image that radiates both power and fragility.

This nature photograph captures the beauty of an exceptional moment in the Grand Canyon alongside the tranquillity of a vast landscape. An atmospheric work of art for lovers of nature, travel and extraordinary lighting conditions.

The vast majority of the photos are just for my own enjoyment. I really do enjoy looking at the thousands of photos I’ve taken.
But every now and then, there’s a real gem amongst them that I’d like to do something more with.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
