This father, mother and young Barbary macaque are hard at work. After waiting for hours in the forests of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, North Africa, I managed to capture them in their natural behavior. Despite the fact that you can see Barbary macaques almost everywhere in the forests, it is rare to find them still truly wild. Unfortunately, they have become accustomed to humans and no longer see the dangers of it - which is why they are now endangered. This family - consisting of about 20 individuals - was still truly wild and ran away as soon as they saw me. Only after hours of waiting was I able to capture this scene.
