A lance point snake (Bothriopsis bilineatus) resting on a leaf in the Brazilian rainforest. This snake was very close to the path through the rainforest that we walked past to go to our study location. It was the third time we walked by that we saw the snake sitting there. A bite of this species of snake could turn out to be very annoying. We were in the Brazilian rainforest to research a kind of wooden shoe frog.
