This picture of the world wonder Machu Picchu I made during a trip in Peru.
The ruins of Machu Picchu are located on a small hill between some Andes tops at about 2400 meters altitude in the region of the city of Cusco. It is one of the seven wonders of the world next tot for example the Great Wall of China and the Colosseum in Rome. The ruins were also included on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1983. During Spanish rule, this city of the Incas was never discovered by the Spaniards, and therefore not destroyed.
The photo was taken in the morning during a tour through the complex. The shutter speed used is 1/50 second and aperture f11.
