Last spring, we were drawn from Wismar Bay to the most beautiful island in Western Pomerania. We were walking on the Baltic Sea island of Usedom between the imperial resorts of Heringsdorf and Bansin. It was almost windless, a light breeze moved the sea offshore. We felt very comfortable that day and had the intention of continuing our walk along the water's edge or perhaps having a fish meal at the fisherman's around the corner. In the end we did both. The freshly fried Baltic herring melted like butter on our tongues. Well fortified, we continued our beach walk. Looking at the photograph, we are still overcome by a very warm feeling. We look forward to our next spring visit to this place of longing. It is always beautiful on Usedom, also because we have a wonderful holiday flat with a view of the beach, as we often do. Here you can enjoy and let your soul dangle. I have kept this piece of art as a nice memory
