There are several Victorias in Schwerin Castle Gardens: the seated, wreath-throwing Victoria as a replica in its original place, as well as the two floating Victorias on the orangery. The seated Victoria was lost for over 100 years, but was recast in bronze in 2024 and placed in the castle garden. The two floating Victorias are also recasts of originally lost figures by Christian Daniel Rauch. The floating Victorians are two white-clad, winged female figures holding a wreath of Victoria, the goddess of victory. The lost originals date back to 1857 and were originally intended for Berlin's Charlottenburg Palace. The original cast zinc sculptures were ordered by Grand Duke Friedrich Franz II around this date, but later disappeared without trace.
