The city in the rain comes alive in this oil painting full of colour and atmosphere. Bright city lights reflect on the wet asphalt, while shadows and silhouettes of passers-by mingle with the glow of street lamps and shop windows. The rain turns every street corner into a mirror in which light, movement and emotion merge.
This painting is based on my own photographs taken during a rainy evening walk through the city. The images of wet streets, shimmering reflections and blurred figures inspired this abstract representation of city life.
With thick brushstrokes and warm colours, I tried to capture the atmosphere of a rainy city night - the sound of drops, the light of neon signs, and the poetic calm that lurks in the rain.
