I took this photo in the backyard, it is a red flower of a magnolia that does bloom every spring. For this photo, I chose to underexpose it even though I used a flash. You have to love having such a dark photo on your wall, it is minimalist though what you see. In fact, I chose it because the background was not really pretty for a photo. When I took this photo, I had put my reporter flash more to the side, it is a strobist technique I used. Next to the underexposed flower, you can still see some green from the leaves on the branch. I also edited it afterwards to make it more beautiful. As this photo is minimalist with the colours black, it will do well in a larger format in a modern interior.
