This room once echoed with conversations, family gatherings, and nearly a century of life. The high ceilings, arched windows, and patterned tiles speak of elegance, while the peeling paint and scars of time, and of the 2020 Beirut blast, remind us of fragility. From the Tabbal family’s wedding home to the childhood of Lebanon’s first female ambassador, every corner carries history. This is a photo that I’ve taken in the Tabbal building in Beirut.
