About ‘Abandoned beach’ by Sander Verhoeven

The photo shows a deserted beach in Costa Rica, where nature prevails. The vast beach is covered with fine, golden sand that blends seamlessly into the turquoise waves of the ocean. Scattered along the shoreline is washed-up wood of various shapes and sizes, weathered and sanded smooth by the sea. The driftwood gives the serene beach a rugged, pristine character. On the horizon, the sky and sea touch, with the blue sky with light clouds giving the scene a calm, almost meditative atmosphere. Lush green trees can be seen in the distance, testifying to the rich ecosystem that characterises Costa Rica.
