Abstract Flower Pattern is pure joy in paint. A wild bouquet without a vase. A colour feast that was created without a plan - only with my hands, my feelings, my love of flowers and colour.
I started with a layered ground of stripes in all kinds of shades. Bright, soft, warm, cool - all mixed together. Like a garden where everything is allowed to bloom. From that base, the flowers grew naturally. With oil pastels and acrylic paint I made them appear: big, small, simple, exuberant.
It felt like sowing and harvesting at the same time. I didn't have to think. Only to feel: where will the next flower be? What colour will next? It is exactly that which carries this work - the intuitive, the free, the play.
The layers give depth. The colours pop. And the flowers dance across the canvas as if they are not afraid of anything.
It is not a traditional floral work - it is a floral pattern with guts. Full of energy, playfulness and zest for life.
Let it take you to a field full of colour where nothing has to, and everything is allowed to bloom.
