Abstract dune landscape at sunset, rendered in watercolour in a colour palette of pink and ochre yellow. The landscape is evocatively rendered with lines, stripes and dots in various shades of ochre yellow, gold and green.
The sky is richly hued with nuances of pink, dark red and ochre yellow. The watercolour paint was applied loosely and with plenty of water, making the colours flow smoothly into each other and creating a dreamy effect.
After the first layer dried, I added details in the form of splatters, stripes (suggesting dune grass) and dots, providing additional layering and texture.
