"Abstraction: Drops and fluff fade away" is an extreme macro photograph of fluff of a dandelion with water droplets on it. The sharpness and focus are approximately at the point where the stalk turns into the fluffy hairs. Because the depth of field is very shallow (just a few millimetres from the point where the stalk turns into the fluffy hairs), in addition to creating a dreamy atmosphere, it also creates a sense of depth, as the sharpness decreases towards the front and back. This also creates abstraction.
The drops also help create this dreamy atmosphere. They reflect the light and this creates sparkles and reflections in the drops between the fluffy hairs of the dandelion fluff.
In the background, you can still vaguely see areas (lines and stripes) of underlying fluff that are very much blurred by the distance.
This photo was taken with a more extreme macro lens than is normally used. This magnifies the subject even more and you start to see elements you had probably never seen before.
Association: calm, zen, water, drop, nature, abstract, fluff, white, light, natural, minimalism
This work could, for example, hang beautifully as wall decoration for the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or of course just above the sofa!
