Tips for use

About ‘Across the arch of Wadi Rum’ by Roy Mosterd

High above the vast desert of Wadi Rum in Jordan, a hiker walks across a natural rock arch. The warm hues of the sandstone stand out sharply against the pale sky, whilst the open space surrounding the arch heightens the sense of height and adventure.
From this perspective, the rock arch appears almost to float above the desert landscape. The hiker atop the arch demonstrates just how impressive these natural formations are. The simplicity of the composition creates a powerful image in which form, light and landscape converge.
Wadi Rum is renowned for its enormous rock formations and endless expanses of sand and stone. Millions of years of wind and erosion have created unique arches and rock sculptures here. This natural bridge forms an iconic feature of the Jordanian desert landscape.
The image exudes freedom, adventure and space. Thanks to its minimalist composition and warm earth tones, this work fits well into a modern interior where nature and travel take centre stage.

My biggest hobby is still playing outdoors. Even as a child, I used to write that in my classmates’ friendship books, and actually, not much has changed since then. It’s just that playing outdoors looks a bit different these days than it used to.
Whereas it used to be all about playing football in the park or tag in the school playground, I now prefer to spend as much time as possible in nature. In the mountains, along the coast or somewhere far away where the landscape…
