Agios Ioannis Monastery on Kos in Greece.
The Monastery of Agios Ioannis on Kos, Dodecanese Islands: On the south side of the island of Kos, at the end of the tarmac road, lies the beautiful monastery of Agios Ioannis (St. John). This monastery, just 7 km south of Kefalos, is known for its traditional architecture as it is painted in blue and white colours. Built on a hill above Kefalos, this monastery is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a beautiful view of the sea. A large plane tree casts its shadow on the church and there are some wooden benches placed around the church where visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery.
