Above the quiet heights of the Koblat high trail, a panorama unfolds that takes your breath away - vast, sublime, unspoilt. The Obertal valley opens up before your eyes, criss-crossed by lush green alpine meadows on which the evening light dances like liquid gold. The wind carries up the soft tinkling of cowbells, while the world down in the valley is already resting in dreams.
Towering above it all is the Hochvogel, 2592 metres high, a cathedral in stone whose layers tell of thousands of years. Its mighty flanks rise sharply and clearly into the sky, which glows an infinite blue. Next to it are the peaks of the Rosszahn group - like frozen waves of a stony sea.
Up here you can feel the silence, which is not empty, but filled with the language of the mountains: the whisper of the wind, the distant call of an eagle, the crunching of the scree underfoot. In this moment, time and thought become blurred. Only the pure present remains - vast, silent, eternal. The Hochvogel stands there, as it has done for centuries, watching over the Allgäu, over Bavaria, over Europe - a monument of rock, light and infinite peace.
