The zesduinenpad is a beautiful path which runs directly behind the dunes that protect Vlieland from the North Sea. You can walk or cycle beautifully through a rolling expanse often dominated by a strong wind. Around sunset, I came across this tussock of grass that nicely caught the last rays of the sun. In the background, one of the characteristic low coniferous trees you see a lot here.

Hallo! Mijn naam is Robert Wierenga. Leuk dat je mijn werk bekijkt. Naast mijn werk als Spoedeisende Hulp arts ben ik actief als landschapsfotograaf. Het vastleggen van onze mooie wereld biedt me een mooi tegenwicht voor de hectiek binnen de ziekenhuismuren. Aangezien ik in Groningen woon, maak ik de meeste van mijn foto's in de 3 noordelijke provincies. Ik trek er graag op uit tijdens de momenten met het mooiste licht, vaak rond zonsopkomst of zonsondergang. Mijn werk kenmerkt zich door eenvoudige, sterke composities en vaak een intensief gebruik van kleur en contrast.
