Along the water near the fort is a split pollard willow. Almost everyone who walks past it takes a photo of it.
She is a split beauty and invites you to take a moment to contemplate all that flows. In the background are old walnut trees. Here, time seems to stand still as the water ripples and the grass sprouts along the banks. It looks different in every season and provides shelter for owls and insects. Shouldn't you be allowed to sit down by the water like this every day while time slips by? The sun on the field conjures pink hues on the grass. In the distance rows of trees and behind them flows the Lek. This is a place to catch your breath.
This work was made with acrylic on a ceramic tile, working as wet as possible so that the colours blend together.
Have fun along the waterfront!
