About ‘Alpaca’ by MSP Canvas

Alpaca - The alpaca originates from South America; to be precise, from the Andes mountains in Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. About 6000 years ago these animals were already kept in the Ancient Inca Empire because of their excellent silky wool. The wool was - and still is - used by indigenous tribes to make clothing and blankets.

The alpaca is a descendant of the wild Vicuña and Guanaco; species closely related to the camel, the dromedary and the llama. These animals belong to the camel family. There are two different types of alpaca; the huacaya and the suri. The huacaya is the most common species in Europe and can be recognized by its shorter and denser wool. On the other hand, the suri has long shiny, very soft wool, which can best be compared to so-called dreadlocks. The suri is also slightly smaller than the huacaya.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
