Those hidden among the autumn leaves, and among the decayed glory. The leaves slowly turning from red to orange, yellow and eventually brown are half decayed by this time. It produces beautiful lace-like textures. There is so much colourful stuff to see, that sometimes you really have to look hard for mushrooms. But still, among all this decayed glory is a mushroom, the fly agaric, Amanita Muscaria, here without the famous white dots, but nicely red. Here and there, little bits are off, no doubt nibbled off by small animals. This is the height of autumn. When mushrooms grow and bloom, autumn is at its's best. Despite the mushroom sprouting like mushrooms, the time they bloom is short. However, you can still enjoy this one for a very long time. The colours in this macro autumn picture are red, orange, yellow, cream and brown.
